Whether it is a day-to-day emergency, special event, or “the big one,” a properly implemented and configured WebEOC system can mean the difference between success and failure. The establishment of a good WebEOC system is due largely to the quality of the individual who creates boards, forms and manages the system. Realizing the importance of good WebEOC administration, Juvare recognizes individuals who achieved a certain level of WebEOC efficiency through our Professional WebEOC Administrator program.
In 2019, Juvare sunsetted the Certified WebEOC Administrator (CWA) program. It has been replaced and improved with a comprehensive Professional WebEOC Administrator (PWA) - Level I credential to recognize individual achievement in the area of WebEOC operation, administration and board building. This credential requires candidates to pass a 100 question written exam followed by a 2-hour, hands-on practical exam. As a prerequisite for taking the certification exam, the candidate must provide third-party documentation of 1000 hours experience administering a WebEOC system.
To maintain the certification, Certified PWA's are required to participate in 24 hours of documented continuing education over four years and pass a written exam based on the changes to WebEOC.
