About this course

Ready to kick up your basic WebEOC boards with some tags, links, buttons, embedded maps, and more?  This WebEOC course is of you.

Prerequisite: Knowledge of how to build a basic board using the WebEOC Board Building tool.  This information will not be covered in this class.

Description: This 2.5 day course will focus on intermediate board building functions.  Students will learn how to utilize data linking to move data from one WebEOC board to another. They will also learn how to create multiple input forms and display boards utilizing the same board/table.  Students will utilize data filtering, insert images into the heading of an input or display and use the embedview and rss tags. Also, students will learn how data can be interactively shared with several boards.

CEUs: Juvare is authorized by IACET to offer 1.6 CEUs for this course. 

Performance Based Learning Outcomes: At the end of this module the student will be able to perform the following functions:

  • Implementing and extending board expressions

  • Implementing and extending view links
  • Implementing and extending buttons
  • Implementing and extending board filtering
  • Implementing and extending data sorting within boards

  • Hands-on Student Exercises on all topics

Cost: $2,000.00

Required Student Minimum: Juvare requires a minimum of four (4) students to be enrolled in a class at least 14 days prior to the start of the course or the course may be cancelled.  Those registered in a cancelled course will have their registrations moved to the next scheduled offering of the course. Equipment Requirements: Each student attending classes in Atlanta is required to bring their own laptop computer, configured to support either Chrome, Firefox and/or Internet Explorer 11, and configured to support a public wireless internet connection.  Juvare will provide wireless internet connectivity and power outlets to support student’s use of self-supplied laptops. Each student should have prior experience with and basic familiarity with WebEOC.

Requirements for Successful Completion of Course: Instructors will advise participants at the beginning of the session that assessments of individual learning will take place during each segment of the class. This assessment will usually consist of the student demonstrating understanding of the material presented by completing a short exercise (on the computer). Assessments can also consist of appropriate verbal feedback from the student indicating understanding of the material presented. In addition to the assessments, to receive a Course Completion Certificate, a participant must attend at least 90% of the class. Our goal is to have 100% attendance. If participants miss a short segment, they will be required to make up the work and demonstrate achievement of the outcome(s) to meet course attendance requirements. Participants absent for more than 10% of the course, and who do not make up the course work, will not receive a Course Completion Certificate. (Participants must address the absence with the instructor and make-up the work prior to the end of the course.) A Sign-In sheet is required as proof of attendance for each class. Participants are required to sign-in at the beginning of each class day.  Students who fail to sign in do not receive credit for the course.
