About this course

This training course is designed to provide performance-based education about Juvare’s eICS solution for Emergency Management staff who write emergency management plans, implement emergency management practices, and/or provide emergency management training for their organization.

Information about using eICS to plan for, respond to, and recover from disasters and disruptions of any scale will be provided. After completing the course, Emergency Management staff will be empowered to perform essential emergency management functions using the eICS platform.

During this course, Emergency Management staff will learn how to:

 

·         Create a Plan

·         Customize and configure the ICS Chart

·         Create, review, and update IRGs

·         Create, edit, and update objectives

·         Manage the document library

·         View, edit, and save documents

·         Associate documents to ICS positions

·         Add internal and external contacts

·         Upload contacts

·         Create, respond to, and manage an incident

·         Add improvement items

·         Test system notifications

·         Create and manage the Improvement Plan

·         Generate the After-Action Report

·         Generate additional reports

 

Prerequisites

For this course, Emergency Management staff should have the following prerequisites.

  • Knowledge of ICS philosophy and terminology
  • Recommended: Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) courses IS-100, IS-700, and IS-200

 

Requirements

For this course, Emergency Management staff should have the following requirements.

  • Access to a computer that has a reliable connection to the Internet and meets the minimum requirements for eICS hardware and software.
